Level 2 Chargers

Level 2 chargers use a 240-volt outlet, similar to what is used for large home appliances like dryers. These chargers are significantly faster than Level 1, offering 10-60 miles of range per hour of charging. Level 2 chargers are commonly found in residential settings, workplaces, and public charging stations. They strike a balance between cost and charging speed, making them a popular choice for most EV owners.

Level 3 Chargers

Level 3 chargers, also known as DC Fast Chargers, provide the quickest charging option available. These chargers use direct current (DC) and can charge an EV to 80% in as little as 20- 30 minutes, depending on the vehicle and charger. Level 3 chargers are typically found at commercial locations, such as highway rest stops, shopping centers, and dedicated charging stations. They are ideal for long-distance travel and quick top-ups but are more expensive to install and use.
